چکیده
Primordial black holes (PBHs) from the early Universe have been connected with nature of dark matter and can significantly affect cosmological history. We show that coincidence radiation density fluctuation gravitational wave signatures associated evaporation ≲109 g PBHs be used to explore obtain important hints about formation mechanisms spinning non-spinning spanning orders magnitude in mass-range, which is challenging do otherwise.

Gravitational waves versus black holes
It is argued that, in order for the gravitational field to be propagated as a wave, it is necessary for it to satisfy a further set of field equations, in addition to those of Einstein and Hilbert, and these equations mean there is a preferred coordinate frame, called the Global Inertial Frame, giving rise to a unique metric . The implication is that a true gravitational field is not compatible...
متن کاملGravitational waves from inspiraling binary black holes
Binary black holes are the most promising candidate sources for the first generation of earth-based interferometric gravitational-wave detectors. We summarize and discuss the state-of-the-art analytic techniques developed during the last years to better describe the late dynamical evolution of binary black holes of comparable masses. متن کاملEvaporating black holes and entropy.
We study the Hawking radiation for the geometry of an evaporating 1+1 dimensional black hole. We compute Bogoliubov coefficients and the stress tensor. We use a recent result of Srednicki to estimate the entropy of entanglement produced in the evaporation process, for the 1+1 dimensional hole and for the 3+1 dimensional hole. It is found that the one space dimensional result of Srednicki is the...

Title of Dissertation: Growing Intermediate-Mass Black Holes with Gravitational Waves Kayhan Gültekin, Doctor of Philosophy, 2006 Dissertation directed by: Professor M. Coleman Miller Department of Astronomy We present results of numerical simulations of sequences of binary-single scattering events of black holes in dense stellar environments. The simulations cover a wide range of mass ratios f...
متن کاملProbing strong-field gravity and black holes with gravitational waves
Gravitational wave observations will be excellent tools for making precise measurements of processes that occur in very strong-field regions of spacetime. Extreme mass ratio systems, formed by the capture of a stellar mass body compact by a massive black hole, will be targets for planned space-based interferometers such as LISA and DECIGO. These systems will be especially powerful tools for tes...
